Market Depth

Hello Everyone,

I’m a noob in the Forex and I have a question about Market Depth in the Forex, I’m use to tyrading the Russell and E-Mini and I like to look at the Market Depth on my trading doom but I have downloaded a couple of of trading Forex platforms but I have not seen any type of Market Depth(pending orders) on the bid and ask sides.

Is there any Forex platform that displays this or does the spot morket don’t display this?

Thanks,

Market depth is very hard to come by as forex doesn’t trade on a central exchange. Volume/depth info is not quite reliable. This is why few brokers offer such.

I’m not absolutely sure, but I think that MB Trading does offer depth info through their MBT Navigator software. (they also offer MT4 since a while back)

Hello o990l6mh,

Thanks for the info I’ll check out MB trading.

It would great if Forex showed the market depth because I really like to see the price action on my trading dome when I trade and I would like to practise with a mini live account for this reason I am exploring Forex because the mini size account can be a great start to practise trading with out risking much.

Thanks,

OANDA FXLabs

Oanda has online tools that show open order / open position etc. Don’t know how useful it is and that’s just for that particular broker, but if they have a large enough customer base then it should be a good indication of the whole market

Thanks Guys

I’ll check them out.

Even though this thread is a bit aged. Unfortunately 95% of DOM views are not true in the sense of showing a good picture of the overall market. In aggregating a vast number of ECN’s you also have to consider scrubbing for redundancy as most tier 1 banks quote their liquidity on several platforms. But… having a true DOM for spot fx isn’t out of the picture.

As far as closed end brokers (MT4/5) forget it… They don’t show full depth in any sense of the word!
