If McGregor had won, several Las Vegas book-makers would have lost vast fortunes, due to McGregor’s overwhelming popularity among bettors. Those bookies must have been sh**ting bricks until about the 9th round.
As it turned out, the bookies, and Mayweather, and even McGregor are all in fat-city this morning.

IMO matches of that rank with worldwide popularity and interest are most of all a show/theater. Both fighters are performing to get their honorary and will do what the bookies say. Additionally, the whole idea of such game was a bit ridicules considering the differences between boxing and MMA but it was worth watching it anyways
