Movie: Floored

Good morning Clint,

Thanks for the reply.

Yeh I know it’s sad (my life or lack thereof I mean). Or is it??? LOL!!! I no longer have family, friends, money, or assets i.e. it’s Wall Street, my dogs, and me (that should be a warning to anyone who takes this business lightly)!!! But you know what: the more I learn about it, the more I read about it, and the more I watch about it, the more I love it. Every time I WALK to buy cigarettes (this coming from a man who not too long ago used to have two luxury motor vehicles) I’m preparing to write ‘the book’ (I’ve been told by many people that WHEN I’m ‘up’ again I have to write a book about it all)!!! LOL!!! Call it tenacity, call it obsession, call it stupidity: but at least I know that for the first time in my life I’m giving 1 000% to something that I love and if there’s any truth in that saying to ‘find something you love doing and you wont have to work a day in your life and the money will look after itself’ (whatever the darn thing is): well then I’m ‘golden’!!! LOL!!!

Forgive my being ‘melancholy’ this morning i.e. today is the last day of the World Cup and, although it’s not been ‘my cup of tea’, I have to admit that the past month definitely has had a sort of ‘holiday feel’ to it. You know: everybody being friendly and having a sort of ‘common interest’ as it were. You know: that ‘goodwill feeling’ and all that. And I guess it’s sad that it’s going to be over today. Apparantely, according to FIFA and studies done, entire nations go into depression after events such as this. I guess I’m feeling it to a small degree. On the other hand: it’s going to save me a fortune in bandwidth costs i.e. me being a ‘music man’ I’ve HAD to download all the music videos etc. of the opening concert and the final concert is tonight!!! LOL!!! I suppose from tomorrow we’re going to be ‘offing’ each other in record numbers again, going back to power cuts, and who knows what else (I hope I’m wrong here of course) i.e. for the most part people here have ‘behaved’ themselves because of the World Cup. Hell: even the trade unions have been amicable and averted labour strikes here so as not to disrupt the events. But who knows what tomorrow will bring. One lasting legacy of course will be the upgrades to our telecommunications infrastructure i.e. millions of ZAR was spent upgrading it for the World Cup so, of course, we now have WONDERFULLY fast Internet etc. so that’s nice. I’m happy with that!!! LOL!!!

Now what the above has to do with the subject matter of this thread I have NO idea!!! LOL!!!

Yes: that’s the series that I wanted to watch. I’ve tried your links but I have the same problem with them. The only thing I can think of trying today is to try to find a decent and SAFE proxy server somewhere in the USA and that may ‘fool’ Hulu into thinking I’m watching from there (although they do mention that this will not work but you never know if their warning is ‘obligatory’ or if they are indeed able to detect the prescence of a proxy server being used to circumvent this restriction). There are many other sites with links to the series but those links just take you back to Hulu. YouTube only has some arbitrary videos of the introductions to the series i.e. no full length episodes.

I must also look today if that new documentary ‘The Pit’ has been released (it’s supposed to be being released this month).

Regards,

Dale.

sorry for not replying until today. I will upload to day (7-12-10) the clips from babelgum and post the link in here. Give me a moment.
I will go and check Clint’s links too and see if the software can DL them too.

Hi ninety9,

Please don’t go to such trouble on my behalf (although I really do appreciate the offer). I’ve a feeling that those two seasons of Wall Street Warriors are going to be way too much for me to download i.e. I have capped Internet access here and I’ve already gone through so much bandwidth this past month and I really just don’t think I can afford to purchase any more this month. As a matter fact: one may THINK that downloading stuff like this is ‘free’ but actually it’s not because of the bandwidth costs i.e. 5GB costs me nearly R300 ZAR (currently about $39 USD or thereabouts) so if you REALLY think about it I may just as well buy the DVD’s!!! LOL!!!

OK: Floored is slightly different i.e. it’s only around 1.2GB (well: THEIR file is anyway) so I can download your Flash Video files. But again: don’t go to all that trouble. What I wanted to know from you was if that demo version of Replay Media Catcher had in fact download or ‘recorded’ each episode in it’s ENTIRETY or is it ‘chopping off’ the last 25% of each episode because of the demo restriction (I don’t quite understand what the 100% YouTube / 75% of all other videos means and I’m going to HIGHLY ‘p*ssed off’ if I waste 1.2GB of bandwidth only to find that I’m missing the end of each episode)!!! LOL!!!

Regards,

Dale.

I watched them all after I had it downloaded, endings are not missing.
I Uploaded them to MegaUpload. You can download as a free user.
The 8 episodes are only 304MB Total.
So start with Episode 1 from the attached text file and see first if it works.
don’t download the extra since you have to buy bytes to download, the extras (~10MB) are only smaller cut outs from the full episodes. I guess they wanted some fillers.
Have Fun, will check later the Hulu and see if it downloads too.

Wow,

Thanks ever so much for your trouble. Jolly decent of you. Thanks.

I’m busy downloading the first file now i.e. no problems.

This is great i.e. I’m fortuanate enough to still have my Sony editing software etc. from my past ‘video days’ (it was another passion of mine at one stage) so I’ll be able to ‘stitch’ the pieces together to create a single movie and then create a DVD from there. If you’re interested I will gladly then upload the single version in an ISO file and then, using someting like Nero, you could just burn a DVD. Unfortuanately though: I’ll only be able to do that on 1 August 2010 i.e. that’s when my bandwidth usage will be reset (the DVD files will be WAY bigger than the combined total of these Flash Video files unfortuanately).

I hope nobody gets upset about this. I don’t see how they can though given that the movie is FREELY viewable (which I still don’t understand but I’m sure not going to complain)!!! LOL!!!

Regards,

Dale.

Edit:

By the way: ‘The Pit’ (movie) was shot AGES ago by the looks of things and from what I gather it’s had quite a few ‘select screenings’ at various theatres and I saw an article somewhere that said that it premieres this month but the article was not specific as to WHERE or on WHAT it’s going premiere (it’s very frustrating)!!! LOL!!!

Edit 2:

Sorry: I wont be able to edit the episodes as noted above i.e. I remember now that my Sony software will not recognise Flash Video files. HOWEVER: Nero Digital (Nero Recode) has no problem at all with these files (I just checked). If you’re interested and need some ‘help’ (‘nudge, nudge, wink, wink’) with Nero and Nero Digital send me an e-mail. LOL!!!

Edit 3:

Oops. Sorry. I forgot to mention: I’ve dowloaded the first episode no problem and the quality is 100%!!! It’s great to be able to watch it without the ‘stop, starts’ inherent with online viewing (well: that’s what I was getting from Babelgum now and then and that advertisement of theirs takes FOREVER to download and then view and I could not simply skip it)!!! LOL!!! Thanks again.

By the way (for anyone and everyone that downloads and watches a lot of video):

Here is a link the K-Lite Codec pack:

Codec Guide: K-Lite Codec Pack - Windows 7 codecs

This software is really amazing. Once installed: the media player pays just about ANY type of video file in AMAZING quality. The player is way superior to Windows Media Player. In addition: the installation of the codecs enables Windows Media Player as well as most other software that recognises video to play just about ANY type of video file as well (as an example: Windows Media Player is not ordinarily capable of playing Flash Video but after the installation of these codecs it will play these files). In addition (and best of all I guess): it’s totally 100% free which is quite surprising for such a good piece of software. I assure you also that this software is virus and spyware free.

Have fun.

Regards,

Dale.

Ohhh… how we (I) complicate things!!! LOL!!!

No need to use editing software or anything like that to combine all of these episodes into one single file in order to create a single movie file!!! LOL!!!

Calling on my old ‘DOS days’:

Simpy use the ‘copy’ command with the ‘/b’ or ‘binary’ option like this:

copy /b file1.flv+file2.flv+file3.flv destinationfile.flv

The actual syntax of the command is:

copy /b [list of files seperated by the plus sign] destinationfilename

By the way: this can be used to combine any files together i.e. not just video for our purposes here.

Just some useful (useless???) information!!! You NEVER know when it’s going to come in handy!!! LOL!!!

Regards,

Dale.

Well: all downloaded and waiting PATIENTLY for the DVD files to be rendered!!! Can’t wait!!! LOL!!!

Thanks once again ninety9!!!

Regards,

Dale.

 Just don’t play with the vuvuzela at the same time:D

LOL!!!

Nope: those days are over now!!! LOL!!!

Well: it’s done and working perfectly!!! It’s WAY better to be able to sit and watch in on a TV rather than these tiny little computer player screens. You know: sit and relax, make some popcorn, that type of thing!!! LOL!!! So far I’ve watched up until episode 4 and then had to come check my trades. I have to say though: it’s a WONDERFUL movie. Really it is!!! LOL!!!

Thanks again for all your help and effort. Now if you could just make the markets move ONE way or another I’d be REALLY impressed. For some or the other reason I’ve been sitting on positions for the past week that are going NOWHERE i.e. they’ve just been moving between profit and loss since last week and it’s TOTALLY ANNOYING ME!!! I was saying to somebody just this morning: patience has NEVER been on of my strong points and this is enough to drive a person absolutely insane!!! That said: I’m getting better with age and experience I think i.e. now I get up and walk around, play with the dogs, make coffee, talk nonsense on the phone, send inane e-mails to people I know, WATCH MOVIES ABOUT TRADING etc. instead of allowing myself to ‘lose it’!!! LOL!!!

Regards,

Dale.

Really enjoyed that! Thanks for posting and thanks ninety9 for uploading the episodes.

Since I am a scalper, M1 as main chart and M5 to exit, the market is almost “always” moving for me.
