I can connect my mt4 at home.
however, while at my workplace. I cant connect.
Is there any setting i need to change.
Any ideas?

vincentlim123, that would all depend on 2 parameters that your Company/Corporation and IT Dept have setup.
The first is the stated company policy on computer usage, as this may or may not be against company poilicy, ie installing software on company property and usage of same. The second is the network settings/parameters that your IT dept has installed within your current networked environment.
I apologize for not directly answering your question, but those two parameters need to be verified first, as you may be fired for misuse of company property and company time. :eek:
get a free account from logmein.com and remotely access your home PC from any PC, or just get the mt4 Mobil on your phone.
I had the same issue, but I just had our IT department give me administrator rights to my workstation, and presto… it worked fine.
Of course not all companies will let you do that depending on thier policies and your position.
Otherwise you can use your cell phone if its windows based, or remote administrator for your home PC.

tick box for = enable proxy server
click on proxy box and enter your workplace proxy server address…that you will have to find yourself…it will be something like…
proxy.companyname.com.au.3128 for example and then we go home untick the enable proxy server box.
