let’s say i long 100k at 1.0000 and then i want to sell 10% of that (10K) at 1.0100… what i do? “modify order” “pending order” are kinda confusing and i dont want to place an addition 10K short on my account

Is this a ‘market order’ or a ‘limit order’ or a ‘stop order’ to which you refer i.e. do you already HAVE an open position or not or is it a ‘pending order’ that you want to modify?
i already have a position open, i just want to lock in some profits by short 10k from that long open 100k position
Rt click on your order --> Close Order --> change the Volume to a portion of your total order
The remaining amount will stay open
yes, i got it, thank you! but what if i want to close a portion of my open position at certain price, let’s say at future 1.1005? how do i set that limit?
I would like to do that too but unfortunately the only way i know how to do it is to open 2 separate orders with different TP levels.
lol… that’s no good cuz i have to open up 5 separate orders at once. haha
there are must be some way to figure it out
I’m not sure but if you long 100k could you not put sell limit orders above so as it climbs it will trigger the sell at the price levels?
I have been thinking the same thing. Uptill now, i’ve been watching the trade and closing portions off at a time.
There has to be a better way, though i don’t know it yet
