I have a sometimes glitchy internet connection that seems to cause a similar thing although I’m with a different platform.

yup, it’s probably your internet connection. Same thing happened to me on a different platform

I think so; even I have also faced same issue because of the internet connection.

Restart MT5, your laptop.
Reinstall MT5
Contact support
