Hi All,
I decided to put lockdown to good use so for the last six mostly-house-bound months I’ve been studying, demo trading and back testing forex.
I’ve actually enjoyed the book work and mental gymnastics required to get my head around the basics of day trading FX - lots of demo work (I found treating the demo account as if it’s real money was key) and BabyPips forums reading has given me a good introductory grounding.
Today I went live with my first real trading account.
I followed my rules, stuck to my risk management principals and managed to take a whole 10 pips off the market on my first day!
I know, it’s tiny, and I’m sure the market will be wrangling those pips back off me next week but for now, however, just finishing my first day and being in the green after 6 months of studying and learning feels damn great and I’m about to head downstairs for a Friday evening beer or two to celebrate!
I just wanted to drop by here, finally introduce myself after months of lurking and thank all those regular posters who put up so much interesting and useful information on the forums that has really helped me with my first steps into forex; it really is appreciated.
