I too am frustrated with the quality of “free” information on the web. Most of it is basically copied verbatum from website to website, so it’s hard to find anything refreshing on a particular topic. Usually I stumble across something when looking for something else…and that’s how I found babypips.com too. However, I am accumulating quite a bit of backreading material in free e-books, and the library is stocked too, so I shouldn’t complain… although convenient, it’s just one source.
I’m trying to grasp price action, but I’m definately a techy and as such, going the robotic way …it’s basically the only way for me right now as I have a full time job, a family, and in an awkward time zone for trading the optimal times of the markets. So I need an EA but in learning how to program one I am trying to make it a bit discretionary in it’s logic too, and the results continue to improve over various pairs and conditions, but not enough yet to try to go live.
WOW… took the words right out of my mouth! I began trading last week (live) with Oanda as well. $1000 account, trading with $2 per pip… too much! I know that now of course lol. I’m glad to have come upon this thread, will definately learn more. I was demo’ing successfully Jan and Feb so I jumped right in, taking it a bit too fast for my own good. As of this post I’m down to $720. Was up $1050 at one point… Damn! Impatience gets the best of me ya know… time to really get my act together and trade properly though

I wanted to order my learjet today, I was told they dont offer a buy now pay later scheme :eek: . I mean thats just crazy, what type of business model turns away customers . No matter, I’d rather fly BA anyway!!!
I’ve started employing James’ IB trigger around S&R levels on the 15min time frame. Im quite choosy, i only use it in very liquid market conditions, if i cant spot the direction its travelling immediately i stand aside. Having said that i just lost a trade today…everyone slips up right…
