My sistem: Stochastic and fibonacci

I like very much your strategies. I will test next days and I will tell you my results.

Hi Edgarā€¦
Sure check it out!

Fell free to ask any questions!

As you can see in this graphic, the market has been in a range for the last 14 hours, between 1.3500 and 1.3450. I think that there is not strenght yet to break support. If the pair retraces to the 1.3550 area i will entre short. Another good entri would be 1.3575. LetĀ“s see what happens!

Do you se that great symmetric triangle? Is just a matter of time to get broken down. IĀ“m wating the market retraces enough to enter short. Still the 1H and 4H stochastics donĀ“t give me any good entry. IĀ“ll just wait.

ā€œI just wait until thā€™ere is money lying in the comer,
and all I have to do is go over there and pick it up. I do nothing in the meantime.ā€

I pulled the rigger!

enter price: 1.3561
SL: 30 pips (61.8% retracement)
TP: 1.3500

Prices came back to the 1.3570 area, that is the same as 50% fibonaccio retracement. Also my 1H chart Stochastic gave a good signal (Overbought zone)
Take a look!

I have a sell at 1.3559, tp 100 pips. Stop loss 30 pips.

My last trade was stop loss. ohh.!

I will try later another trader.

Could you post please the charts with the indicators, so we can analyse what happened.

Hi guys, take a look!

I entered short at 1.3592
SL: 35 pips
TP: 1.3500

The stochastic in the 4H is perfect entry. And also i have a trendline right there that gives a lo of strenght!

The trend went wrong.

Lost 35 pips. DoesnĀ“t matter, losses are part of the game. iĀ“m 8% up in the month, next week is my fourth week of the mounth, so letĀ“s see if cang get 16%. Take care

Short EUR/USD at 1.3665.
TP: until the 4h stochastich is in the oversold zone

Indicators: Stochastic in overbought zone at the 1h and 4H chart.
38% fib retarcement

It think this one is the big one!!

I woke up this morning at 8am CST and entered 3 trades that I immediately regretted and pulled out with a 15 pip loss. However, I did catch the short at 1.3655. This could be my biggest win yet. But how low will it go, I too was predicting a low move this morning but it shot up on me like a beast. EUR has been more Volatile than GBP lately, Im liking it!

I think part of why it went wrong was due to all those news releases that came out right around then. I have a calendar type indicator right on my charts which tells me how long until the next news event is due to be released so I donā€™t forget to check.

You are right Sweet pips, during the news announcements is kind of risky to enter a trade.

I have good news:

I took profits at 1.3610. As you can see in the graphic, the price hit my stop loss at 1.3610 , i trailed my stop to that level because arround that level i reached my weekly goal of 4%. Is very important to stop overtrading. So far iĀ“m 12% up this month.

Take care!

Good morning everyone!

I woke up today and i see a made some profits during the night

My first trade i entered at 1.3600, but my stop loss was hit at 1.3635. Fortunately i had left a limit order to sell at 1.3635 in case my stop loss was hit during the night. The reason is because the stochastics in the 1H and 4H charts were both in the oversbought at that price level.

Loss: -35 pips
Profit: 78 pips

Net Profit: +43 pips. (You can check in my chart the last trades i made).

Right now the stochastics are in the oversold area, and prices are to close to 1.3450 support area, so iĀ“ll wait for a pull back to enter short. If prices reach 1.3450, then iĀ“ll look to enter long, or enter short if that level is broken .

I only need one more winner and iĀ“ll reach my 16% monthly goal. You see how simple is to make money. I didnĀ“t say it was easy, i said itĀ“s simple. this is an advice for the newbies: Just take a simple system, that uses bigger time frames and follow the rules.

Entered long at 1.3477
SL: 37 pips (below support area)

Prices are near support area 1.3450, and the stochastics in the 1H and 4H charts in the oversold area.

LetĀ“s see if i can get some pips from this one!

I took profits at 1.3510 which is the 23.6% fib retracement of friday high and todays low. This was a counter trade, so took profits really quick. I donĀ“t like to trade against the trend, but prices were at a ver strong support level
(1.3450) and stochastics also gave my a goos signal. IĀ“m almost at my 16% monthly goal, letĀ“s see if tomorrow i can reach it. ThatĀ“s all for me for today, i donĀ“t want to give back to the market all the money i made. Remember: DonĀ“t overtrade!

see you tomorrow!

Hi guys

Today US session didnĀ“t have too much action, i had two losses. I was very close to my 16% monthly goal. This is my last week of the month, and right now IĀ“m 13% up, letĀ“s see if i can get some pips tomorrow

IĀ“m wating for the Euro to go back to the 1.3650-1.3700 zone, and wait for my stochastics in the 1H and 4H give me a good signal. Also that area is the
38.2% fib retracemente from February high. Take a look!

Hi gasanvill,
first I want thank you for the very informative thread, your system looks very good, simple and clear.
I tried a lot of systems last year but I learned its better to use less indies and keep it simple.
So I will follow your thread, hope you keep showing your trades.

Do you trade only the US session?
I ask because Iam german, have a full time job, so US session would be a good time for me to look for trades, but a lot of traders say, US is not much trending.

Hi, gasanvill:

Thanks for sharing your winning strategy. I want to follow your system in the following weeks to see whether it works for me.

I read the thread carefully. But I still have some questions. Could you take a look at them?

  1. Some pictures uses different Stochastic settings? (14/3/3, 8/3/3, 9/3/3) Since your system uses the Stochastic OverSell/Overbought as the signal, I want to have the exact the same value as yours.
  2. For #4 post scenario, I use the same setting to try to reproduce the scenario. But Schocastic value is below 80 at that time. It seems that you are using a temporary Schocastic value (when the bar is not close) as the reference. Is that correct? Or should we need to wait for the bar close?
  3. For #4 post scenario, my setting cannot see H4 overbought? Do I miss anything? Is H4 overbought a must-have to execute your trading?

Thanks again for your sharing. Please give us more examples and we can learn more from you.

Good Trading,
Yang
