My technical 'HyperTrend' strategy journal

Currency Pair: GBP/USD
Long/Short: SHORT
Pips Gained/Lost: :money_mouth_face:
Trade 1: +75 pips
Comments: I don’t usually trade the news - but with the Brexit chaos, I couldn’t resist this one…

EDIT: having closed this to bag the pips I re-entered based on live price action and bagged another 30 pips at naughtily high £/pip :grimacing:

That’s last weeks loss cancelled out and and overall ~14% account gain since the beginning of August.
73 trades, 83% success rate.
Cannot wait to see if I can keep this up until Christmas!

EDIT: I’ve gone back in on GBP/USD
Long/Short: SHORT
Pips Gained/Lost: :money_mouth_face:
Trade 1: +25 pips
Trade 2: +25 pips
Trade 3: +85 pips

Account gain is 17.8% after that lot with T3 still in play - USD news out tomorrow so monitoring closely. That’s also why I’ve cashed in on T2 at this point, 24hrs before…

EDIT: this looks like a stop hunt that my SL wasn’t wide enough to avoid, annoying. However I have reentered so hopefully I can claw some profit back on this as it turns in what would have been my favour. Let’s see…

EDIT: Seems to be working; profited +30 pips the following morning with the T2 still running. phew!

Currency Pair: CAD/JPY

Had a CAD/CHF entry order trigger yesterday.
T1: -20pips
T2: -20pips

Manually closed - I think the lesson here is to reduce my weekend entry orders to be valid for a day or two depending on the chart structure rather than the default setting of a week. Hopefully now I’ve written that down I’ll actually remember…

Review time.
Started this trading method at the start of August, which means it’s been two months.
Trades: 99
Gain: 25%
Pips: +1,695

Anyway - back to the day job :sunglasses:

EDIT: so, this was a draining trade…
moved against me initially, but confident in the long term trend I scaled in at the next entry in a big way. It took a while to get shifting, and I had to go against my rule of avoiding high risk news too, but eventually this turned into a far more profitable trade that it appears from the pip profit.
Either way, my plan worked out and it’s another green week; overall account gain is now at 26%

well done

0.7537 entry Jeff TP was about 35 pips.

Currency Pair: EUR/USD
Long/Short: SHORT
Pips Gained/Lost: :sunglasses:
Trade 1: +15 pip TP

Comments: This was a quick H4 entry in my lunch hour, not my usual strategy but there was PA and a plan and the TP notched a win - I loaded up the risk based on the TP so this was a tidy little win on the account
