Need help: Grid strategy and market volatility

Hi guys

I’m using a bot set with a grid strategy. However, am not making as much. profit as I used to in September.

I think it’s because the market is a lot less volatile today.

would be glad to have your insights guys

FYI, I am using notoriously volatile pairs such as gbpaud, nzdjpy, gbpnzd, euraud, eurgbp.
I am also using usdjpy, eurusd and a few others

But the problem is the same.

Yes, the markets are not trending. If that’s your problem, a crude solution would be to use a basic visual filter to assess market volatility - e.g. checking how many recent consecutive weekly bars overlap. Then you could re-set your system accordingly, e.g. to stop trading or trade smaller positions or use tighter TP’s etc.
