New Guy - Would Really Appreciate Any Advice

Hey All!

My name is Jon and I am pretty new to Forex. I am wanting to learn as much as I can so I can get through this tough time I am having financially.

I am raising my daughter alone and unfortunately I have no one to help me at all so I can only work 8 hours 5 days a week and that barely covers our bills and food. I want more for her so I decided to make some risks on the Forex market with my savings. I know it may not be a smart move but with help from you guys I am hoping that it will turn out ok for us. There is no reward without risk.

Currently I work from home 8 hours a day and I have quite a bit of time to learn in between work tasks and I am giving it my all. So far I have the basic concept but I want more. Can you point me in the right direction?

Some of the current questions I have are as follows:

1. What broker is good to use starting out? Currently using Oanda fxTrade with MT4 and Oanda in house broker.

2. My goal is to day trade as well as swing trade. Can you give any advice?

3. Where can I learn all of the terminology all in one place?

4. Any good software out there I should purchase for predictions etc?

5. What are some good questions I should be asking? <---- thanks in advance

I look forward to a very resourceful experience here at babypips.com

Thanks for checking out my intro post.

Hi,
Study at the free school right here, a great resource
Oanda is a good choice, one of 3 brokers I use
Practice, practice, practice, before you go live. There is no rush, better to find a style and system that works for you

Thanks for your response! I’ve been practicing for a few weeks now and I’ve been averaging $120 a day in my practice accounts losing a lot my last few days practing but some of my smaller days were still significant gains. Any gain is great in my opinion. I will definitely check out the training here. So far I’m loving what I see.
