New to trading looking for a coach

Hi, I’m new to trading and have recently been studying the Smart Money Concept strategy. However, it hasn’t fully clicked for me yet. I’m looking for a coach who can help me become consistently profitable, with clear proof of success, as there are a lot of scammers nowadays.

Yes unfortunately don’t have the funds yet to pay for it

Definitely will check that out. Thank you

Welcome to the community! It might be hard to find someone offering free coaching services. Most experienced traders charge for their time and knowledge.

Good luck finding a mentor and with your trading journey!

Welcome to Babypips!

Be careful what you ask for. You’re going to pay to learn either in time, money lost to the market, or paid mentorship. Often you’ll pay at least 2 out of 3 of these.

You can get mentorship for free, but you get what you pay for. As with anything that’s free on the internet, if you aren’t paying for the product, then you are the product.

Good luck on your journey.

I am curious to ask this, is mentoring easy?

Hi @pulpfiction, Mentoring is not easy. Both parties, mentor and student, have to be honest. If a student doesn’t know the mentor closely, hardly can be honest.

The same thing a good mentor has to be able to know the student profile, financial condition. You can’t just giving a scenario without knowing student’s financial condition.

Trading isn’t like learning a subject in college. So deliver the knowledge just like in the college will be a total failure.

The best scenario for trading mentoring, both parties must be active, student must open his/hers condition (trust issue), intensively done in real market. If possible, using real money to show the psychology effects and how to solve the problem in real market.

Fair enough! Sounds like mentoring is more than just giving advice and sharing tips — it is all about bringing that level of trust and understanding of the student’s full situation. And yeah, trading with real money definitely do brings out a whole new level of stress! Do you think it’s possible to find that perfect mentor-student match where both sides really open up?

Hi @pulpfiction, it’s possible but highly unlikely with current scenario. I was a mentor before. Mentoring a close friend is also difficult, most of them lack of discipline and tend to request more gentle approach. As a person or mentor we can be gentle, but market won’t.

Trading requires person to be strong and decisive. It’s not for spoiled person.

To find a good mentor, a mentor must show his/hers trading records. The person also need to proof his/hers wealth by trading. This will grows the trust in student’s candidates. It takes times but it will filter out all fake mentors…

But if a person is really good in trading, they won’t be bother to waste their time mentoring others.
For me, I will only mentoring my family, extremely close relatives and friends who show a very strong interest and quality.

Note: the 95% people loss in trading is not something with the market, it’s due to the person’s lack of quality to be a successful trader.

So true! If someone’s really successful in trading, they usually won’t spend their time mentoring—they’re focused on their own growth and trades.
