Hello everyone! My name is Matt and I am brand new to Forex trading. I have been reading up on trading Forex for the past month or so and I plan to start trading on a demo account soon. I’ve read through the investopedia forex walkthrough and I’m partway through the babypips school (for the record, babypips has WAY more information than investopedia). I am dedicated to becoming a full-time trader and I’m very confident that I can make it happen. Don’t worry, I have no delusions of grandeur or visions of “the big one” that will make me a millionaire over night. I know that it’s going to take a lot of time and work to become a successful trader, possibly years before I can trade full lot sizes. I can only start with about $1000 so I have a long way to go.
A bit about myself: currently I work full time at a college as a manager of a mathematics computer lab. I have a bachelor’s in Economics and I’m currently working on a Mathematical Sciences masters degree with an emphasis in statistics. I’m considering doing my thesis / proseminar about the Forex market.
Look for me in other parts of the forums since I will probably be asking a lot of questions!
