Hi, newbie here, I hope I can get some advice from you guys who are professionals here. And can learn many things from you guys.
Advice with Regards to what ???
Here’s my first piece of advice for you
- Go through and read A LOT of the beginners section of the forum
- Understand that we get commonly asked the following questions, that for the most part is useless…
a) i’m a newbie can anyone help me
b) i’m a newbie i want to trade forex can any suggest how to start
c) i’m a newbie which broker should i pick
d) i’m a newbie how can i make 20 pips a day
e) i’m a newbie how do i place a trade
f) i’m a newbie can anyone tell me what to do and how i should move foreward in forex
g) i’m a newbie, i started yesterday, just opened a live account , any advice
Don’t ask these questions, they are stupid.
anyone who responds will respond politely, but HONESTLY, these question are dumb
Now WE ARE UNDERSTAND YOU GUYS ARE NEWBIES
but,
here’s why they are stupid
a) Can anyone help - Help with What ???
Risk Management, Strategy, Technical Analysis, Fundamental Analysis… what ??
the question is so vague, you may as well have said "I have a problem can anyone help"
it means nothing to ask this question
b) How should one start - Newbies commonly don’t get this.
the newbie believes "What’… I"m just asking a question"
WHAT YOU ARE NOT REALIZING IS THIS…
you are asking people to help you have put A LOT OF TIME AND EFFORT into forex and you just want it handed to you FOR FREE of all things.
Now most of us are happy to help for free, BUT YOU HAVE TO SHOW THAT YOU ARE PUTTING IN EFFORT
and… a question like this proves, you have not even bothered to read the EDUCATION section of this site
the answer to HOW DO I START is… LEARN, go to the education tab and LEARN
c) what broker… Pick whatever broker you want.
again, TEST THEM OUT, Just like we did.
Now… it’s a fair call to ask for people experience’s, but if you show that you have not even researched any brokers
why would we help you?
d) 20 pips a day or X pips a day - hehe, Well, the first thing that comes to mind is… WHY 20 ?
what makes you think that 20 is the magic pill to unlimited wealth.
the other point here is… IF YOU HAVE WORKED OUT A SYSTEM and done the calculations to figure out that 20 pips per day is what you need, then LOGIC WOULD SUGGEST that would also have some idea of how to rack up pips per day. hence , what makes the question weird
Further to this you could just read the forum , and you could also say something like I’ve tried this and this and researched this and this and this and i’ve learned this and this and this and i still can’t seem to get 20 pips per day , and i need to do that because of this… and so far i can only get
X pips per day
THIS IS A MUCH EASIER QUESTION TO ANSWER
e) how to place a trade - Seriously… get a gun and shoot yourself.
if a person cannot figure this out or, couldn’t be bothered to research it.
as far as we are concerned, and given that FOREX REQUIRES EFFORT AND LEARNING
- You’re not going to get anywhere if you can’t figure this out
- if you don’t care to learn WHY SHOULD WE CARE. i’ts in the first part of kindergarten, this is like wiping
your backside,
Why is it so hard to open a demo account and play with it and maybe google "How do i place a trade in MT-4"
Hell… you can even go on live chat with your broker and say , i’m new, how do i place a trade
to have to ask this question SHOWS A TOTAL LACK OF COMMITTMENT.
f) No one can tell what YOU SHOULD DO and what’s best for you, this is a silly question
g) The answer would be… close the live account and open a demo , unless you want to lose all your money.
SO FIRST BIT OF ADVICE
DON’T ASK THE ABOVE QUESTIONS
IF YOU ARE GOING TO ASK A QUESTION, SHOW THAT YOU HAVE DONE SOME RESEARCH.
Even if it’s a simple question like , i can’t find the icon that Opens MT-4
at least show what you have done so far and demonstrate effort before asking the question.
and this is before any profit takes place
this is before any indicators or analysis comes into it
so mate
WHAT WOULD YOU SPECIFICALLY LIKE TO KNOW OR GET ADVICE ON ?
our first piece of advice would be
go to the EDUCATION TAB and get to around High School before you even attempt trading
and at the same participate on the forum
and also learn what you can from you tube as you go alone
START THERE… OK

You are in the right place. My only advice is start study everything available in the School of Pipsology. I am using Babypips resources from last 1 years. It will help you to learn the market.
Since you haven’t specified what topic you want advice about - trading, brokers, psychological approaches, etc, my advice too is to go through the School of Pipsology.
If you have any concrete questions after you do you can always come back to the Forum and ask them as well, I am sure that people here would be helpful in answering them.
Start reading all the sections of the forum and go educating yourself every day about the market that is my best advice and open a demo account and go practicing.
Nobody here has any right to call themselves a “Professional”
All are “retail” - same as you !
Any “advice” here has nmuch the same value as U-Tube !
Someone should make this answer be at the top of the begginers section
