Where are they, I don’t see a post with your new lines?

Following my recent balls-up of order placing on USD/CAD (2 pip buffer!) Cody mentioned that in his experience USD/CAD is more prone to fakeouts and he has set a buffer of 9 pips on this pair.

Maybe there is scope to tailor the buffer for each pair

Metalhawk, one of the guys on Nick’s website, trades USD/CAD and his rules are an 8 pip buffer with a 35 pip SL/TP.

He also had this to say about trading scalp lines on that pair…

But there�s another, less manageable problem, and that�s news releases. This pair reacts very strongly to US news releases, and to a lesser extent, Canadian ones.This can be an issue if you depend on pending orders and can�t watch your charts between 11:00 and 13:00 GMT (7am-9am EST).

Did anyone take the USD/CAD trade today for a loss?

What’s going on with this pair? Drawing a few trendlines it’s virtually heading sideways with the slightest of upward tendency - hence the repeated fakeouts. Is it worth holding off trading this pair for a week or two (like some have been with GBP/JPY) until a clearer trend emerges?

Or is all this normal for the pair?
