Well, there you’re attributing a purposiveness and intention that may not, IMHO, always be borne out by the facts. All too often, I think incompetence is a stronger explanation than protectionism.

But there you go: I subscribe to the “chaotic” theory of historical interpretations, as well, rather than the “conspiratorial” theory (and I’m guessing you and I are on the same side there, anyway? )

And of course we have absolutely no disagreement about FXCM at all. They were appalling crooks, period. Countless regulators said so, worldwide, over countless years and rulings.

But you can’t/shouldn’t put Oanda in the same bracket as FXCM, though, in any meaningful way. At least, I hope you wouldn’t want to do that! They’re chalk and cheese.

Joking aside, Respect as always, I expressed my opinions and my position on the issue.
