I opened an account at Pepperstone, which does not accept US citizens. I’m not a permanent resident of the United States but I’m living in the US long enough to be classified as a permanent resident for tax purposes. I want to keep my account with them due to high leverage (and yes I’m aware of risk involved in trading with a very high leveage). Other than I won’t be protected by US governing bodies, I just want to know if there are other consequences of my actions.
They can terminate your account and remove profits if they determine somehow that you trade from US. They don’t need a headache. So I would recommend to hide your real ip or take some measures to conceal that.
