Poker vs trading forex

It’s quite stressful for a new trader to be trading on the smaller time frames than Daily. Head over there, 301 Moved Permanently , read first 10 or 20 pages to familiarize yourself with the concept. Demo it a little bit and ask questions freely. FSO guys are pretty friendly and they’ll give you honest answers. Good luck.

First off my apologies to OP and the rest of the posters who were asking about poker and trading. It is not my intention to hjack the thread. Just this last time then we’ll keep to poker and trading here.

I’m about 15 pages in and have subscribed to the thread and intend on making that my next training (using a demo for that). I actually enjoy the smaller time frames as someone on another thread said, you can’t use position trading strategies when you’re scalping or day trading.

Anyway guys once again sorry for getting off track
Gp

poker and trading are both different in terms of profit, since in trading you don’t really gamble but you try to make different strategies based on market trends to make a certain profit, unlike in in poker its really a game of chance…

I think we should not compare these two businesses as they have different nature. There is more luck factor in poker while we perform in trading with skill and it takes effort and experience.

I would advise you against demo accounts, there are a few discussion going on here in this forum. All I am saying is that you should be careful before you decide.

Discussions about what @Rambo85?

The account I was discussing with Konan is live. I scalp and day trade using Moving averages in my live account. The thread that Konan mentioned was more along swing trading using support and resistance lines. This is the next thing I want to learn. all due respect to you. I used a demo account when I was learning how to trade in the forex and happy I did. Knowing what I know now, I would not for one minute try out new or different strategies with anything but a demo. I lost $5800 making silly mistakes when I first started trading. So thanks for the suggestion but no thanks I’m on the side of when you first start trading do it with a demo

It’s just clean price action trading. Quite simple and straight forward. I think he is referring to the “danger” of non-emotional trading on demo vs real risk trading…You can open a micro or even a nano account at certain brokers to get that “real” feeling of the trades with minimal risk tho. Good luck m8

There are several about live accounts vs demo accounts, quite interesting in my opinion. I think he refers to those.

About live accounts and demo accounts.
