Price Action Setup Trading

Thanks, I find this very helpful, I read above about “nial” and “james16”, whats the deal with them?

If you want to learn some price action, I believe they have some of the best resources.

Thanks lallous! I think I am gonna check out Nial’s stuff though, mainly because most of it is free and he has no monthly fees like J16, although I am quite sure j16 is good too!

J16 has some free stuff also. Check out the free section of the site plus there is a thread which has over 5000+ posts so far.

Have fun reading through 5,000+ posts…

Yes, I totally agree with that, Nial’s free section seems to be laid out better, his site is just designed better too.

Here is a pin bar setup that formed in the EURUSD recently, it came off nicely to the downside today, I actually made about 100 pips on this setup, very simple and straight forward trading here.

And today another bearish pin bar formed!

EURUSD coming off lower, I enjoy this price action method.

Merry Christmas everyone!

I entered long on this silver setup on a break of the high of the pin bar in the chart below. I love price action trading in trending markets like gold and silver right now.

I also trade Nials ways. Took a nice EURCHF trade lastnight for 100 pips.

Nice! I don’t usually trade the EURCHF, the CHF has been on a tear lately though against the other majors. That’s a decent little pin bar setup you traded there.

PA method rocks. I have been learning a lot of it lately. I used to use several trading systems with all sorts of rules for scalping and daytrading, and I still can use them to spot many entry opportunities, but I am using less technical analysis now.

Simple PA trading is much better in many cases

When I used to rely on technical analysis so much, I was letting them to spot the entry points for me. But now I don’t need them to do that. I just use few of them for visual and sound assists.

Way to go pipdealer! This is what I like to hear!

Took the bullish hammer price action a few hours ago…

Price bounced off the EMA’s which have crossed over to the upside. Stop is Just below the days low, pretty tight just in case there is no follow through with it.

I don’t think that trade worked out so well for you. I would offer some advice on the setup as to why it wasn’t a good pin bar to take:

  1. price had already made an upmove and was at resistance, you were trying to buy into resistance essentially.

  2. the over all trend was down on the daily chart.

Yeah I understand where you are coming from, valid points.

I was up 50 pips at one stage, but then got stopped out overnight. Should have moved my stop to break even after being up that much.

Always learning… thanks for the input

Hi Guys,

You mentioned that you were trading using Nial Fuller’s style. Did you guys get the paid content? Is it worth it? I’m really interested in the PA style as well. Indicators just don’t seem to cut it.

Thanks for the advice!

Hey Vonner,

I actually have the paid content. I paid as I had seen Nials free videos on his site and wanted to learn more about it.

The price (for some) is quite reasonable for what you learn. However I thought that there would be more videos and content on the inside. What you basically pay for is access to the forum, the course in pdf format and a few member videos that Nial has done.

Initially I was a little dissapointed with what was offerred after paying however i have changed my thoughts a bit. The forum discusses current pin bar and fakey set ups on a heap of different currencies. Great place to get ideas and feedback from some of the more experienced price action traders in there.

Hope that helps

Cheers
