Question 4

Any tips on which indicator is the mkst accurate

The “accuracy” of indicators is determined mostly by the software that displays them, rather than by the indicators themselves. (For example, if you use “MetaTrader 4” some of the indicator displays are plain inaccurate.) But other than that exception, indicators are all “accurate” in that they display what their instructions tell them to display, in accordance with how they’re calculated.

What varies is how helpful they are, not how “accurate”.

And the answer to that obviously varies hugely, depending on how people are using them and the type of trading they do.

In general, though, I think it’s fair to say that people who imagine that indicators have reliable “predictive” powers are going to end up being disappointed by them. And perhaps especially people who imagine that their “accuracy” can be improved by “confirming their signals with other indicators” - this is clearly one of the more misguided approaches to trading, in general.

Personally, I have a relatively high opinion of most of the Ichimoku indicator-set, provided it’s used with appropriate settings. I’ve found that helpful, sometimes, in the past, and I know one very successful independent trader (formerly an institutional trader) most of whose day-to-day trading involves using it. However, it’s one I’m generally reluctant to recommend to people, for the simple and very unfortunate reason that most (in fact nearly all!) the “information” available about it online is actually misinformation, and in my opinion the great maority of people who are purporting to teach others how to use it, on websites and in e-books, really have remarkably little idea what they’re talking about.

Other indicators I’ve found useful (and also know successful pro-traders, including institutional traders, who find them useful), include the ADX/+DI/-DI indicator (to assess trend-strength), and the ATR indicator (which can be helpful - with some types of trading - with setting targets and stop-losses).
