Hello everybody. This will be a really beginner question. I’ve opened up a demo account on MT4 and have X amount of USD balance. I’ve executed a trade to buy 0.10 lot, that is 10 000 units of EUR, and it shows on my Exposure tab. Now, 10.000 units of EUR is 10 thousand EUR right? On the right, there is the USD tab which shows 236 USD. Does that mean that I’ve bought 10.000 EUR for 236 USD? I can’t wrap my head around this 
On your demo account, no real money is involved. This means that when you lose, you won’t pay any money and when you make profits, you can’t withdraw any money. It’s all virtual money and it can only be used on your demo account. You will have to invest real money when you go live.
