Questions about rates and others

Good afternoon to all.
.
I’m a very newbie guy at forex (that’s why i’m posting here…) and i would like if somebody kindly could reply to these questions:

I have installed on my computer MT4 and Oanda FXGame to start training (yes a i’m reading Babypips School of Pipsology first, and i’m loving it…), however my question is if in the same timeframes shouldn’t the rates (OCHL) be the same? Because sometimes it seems to me that there’s a little difirence between them (about 3/5 pips). Is this normal, and if so why does it happens?

On the other hand how trustfull are non-live (training) accounts such as Oanda FXGame? Are the data (rates) really the same as in live, and the speed of trading, actualization, and others, does anyone knoes the answer?

I kindly thank you for all your replies

Not all brokers will get their data feed from the same supplier, so it is possible for their to be slight discrepancies due to latency/lag in the feed, it may be behind by a few seconds, or they may be basing it on another bank’s rates or however they determine it… since forex has no central location there is no one source of forex data.

Most brokers have separate servers for demo vs live accounts, but the data should be identical. Unless they are dishonest, everything should be the same as a live account since you are basically testing out their services before you put real money into them.
