Actually, there is something special outside AU and UK brokers. I am glad you know US brokers are a pain in the butt. I use Profiforex, a non AU, US and UK broker, but everything has been going fine from the start till this time. Although, one has to be careful when choosing a broker, but I don;t think its really all about the country. Its all about what the broker has to offer and whether the traders there are really satisfied. So, its always good to read test a broker with a small deposit and see if there are any problems.
