Recommendation

Hi all,

I’m new to the scene, and so I’m looking for some recommendations. I have been looking at getting a few books to read, I can be on the go a little at the minute, so a book would be ideal to carry with me and read when I can. So what are the best books you could advise me to get for a beginner?

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

There is a thread about book recommendations here but I can’t link it on my phone. Search and you will probably find it. My recommendations: trading in the zone, Japanese candle sticks, market wizards, remenices of a stock operator, trading for a living. All good books for a beginner there are loads of books out there that will keep you busy for a lifetime. So it’s just a start once you get a handle on the basics I would look to read more books on technical analysis or market micro structure.

Thanks for that. I have noticed there are a lot of books around, I had a look on Amazon, read the reviews on them, and basically just confused me more lol

Here’s a collection of recommended trading books suggested by a group of experienced traders and market pros.

Thanks for that

I would recommend:

  • All the Market Wizards books
  • Trade with Passion and Purpose
  • Trading, Sex and Dying (to figure out your own psychology)
  • Millionaire Traders
  • The Amazing Life of Jesse Livermore
  • When Super Traders Meet Kryptonite
  • Chris Lori’s Pro Traders Course (for forex)

I would read them in that order. These are excellent books for beginners because they are entertaining and they teach you more about the psychology, which is the most important thing in trading. Then once you get down to the course, you will be ready for more of the technical concepts.

Good Luck!
