Risk Levels and Marketspread explained

I just learned about what risklevels and marketspread do and how they effect my profit so I made a blog post here.

What is the RISK LEVEL in forex?

I’m just aiming to help newbies in the fx field so i’m gonna paste the whole post here

Well, since I just realised what this risk level is in forex I thought I’d share it with you guys. It’s a nifty little trick really, the risk level is basically the thing that defines your market spread cost and stop loss extension (like how low your stop loss can be set to). Since the markets are closed on Saturday and Sunday (GOD I HATE IT!) I was messing around in my practice account at eToro and I saw that this little risk level stands between you and pure profit.
I’ll go ahead and demonstrate it with some images!
Now if you see in the image below I’ve selected X50 as my risk level on this trade, I know the amounts to be invested here are going to be higher compared to higher-risk-levels but hey you pay less spread therefore you make more profit.

And now in this image you’ll see that the market spread is really low bcause of the low risk level and this trade made me like 14$ profit right before I started writing this sentence…lol

And this is an older trade where I had selected a higher risk level – X200
As you can see the market spread is really killing me there and I can barely make a profit there…

In conclusion, if you’re sure that a certain currency will go atleast 10-20 points up go for a high risk level but if you wanna make short term profits go for lower risk levels, that’s what works for me so far.

I don’t know how to tell you this but “risk level” and how it relates to market spread can ONLY be found on your etoro platform.

Other platforms have consistent spreads and they are not affected by how many lots you want to trade. Honestly your platform seems more like a FX casino than a broker. Are they regulated/registered or anything? Well capitalised?

Heh I gotta admit it is kind of like a casino, it works for me I guess. Forex with paypal is just so much easier for me.

Besides, I haven’t exactly found a better fx trader yet…

And as for the last thing you asked for…

no idea…no idea and no idea.

I would steer clear of paypal if I were you. They stole 70 dollars from me and froze my account for no good reason! Paypal is a scam!
