I’m Zimbabwean… my country is famous for the 3 things in the title amoungst a few others.the politics has really taken its toll on a relatively peaceful ,happy and entrepreneurial people. We are blessed with good soils and a one-of a-kind climate that is any farmers wet dream-suited for maize,tobacco, wheat-virtually anything imaginable. We once exported all around the world and boasted the title “THE BREAD BASKET OF SOUTHERN AFRICA”. 30 years ago the USD/ZWD exchange rate was 1.2505!!! thanks to this agriculture, tourism and as well as a strategic transit location into the rest of Africa from the neighboring South African Bay.Oh and we have one of the highest natural mineral reserves on the continent…but we all know the story, the Zanu PF government, politics, Power struggles, sanctions ,liberation war blah blah blah, to be honest most of the people don’t even know what we are fighting for . thanks to the Mugabe regeme and a grudge match with the rest of the world , our people are suffering. even the guys who can afford to graduate at university with top level qualifications are forced to resort to barter , subsistence farming and street vending to put food on the table for their families and make ends meet.imagine that!!!
we have a broken economy and i fear things will not get better anytime soon.
I studied a diploma Banking at the University of Johannesburg in South Africa and even though most of my colleagues wouldn’t even dream of going back to Zimbabwe (because things are so bad) i am returning next year because that is my home. One of the modules- more like topics we did was FOREX and i knew immediately that this is what i wanted to do.
i joined baby pips a few weeks back and after enrolling with the school of pipsology my eyes were opened to a whole new world i didnt even know existed. Not only for me but for my people! i want to really do well day trading not only to live a great life but to teach others to do the same, i tutored Economics all throughout varsity so teaching comes naturally to me but i understand that i need to learn first. I call upon everyone on this Beautiful forum to help me not only help myself, but my people, help me make my country great again! we have the highest literacy rate in Africa, although the economy is bad, the financial systems are adequate enough to let us open a bank account therefore a trading account. we also have access to high speed internet therefore access babypips.com wink wink. im still trying to figure this out but it is my life’s mission
