Hi everyone! I am currently in my final years of college and recently turned 21. Since my freshman year I’d been hearing about forex trading and now I’ve decided to give it a try. Why not learn a new skill during quarantine? Especially since I’ve been out of work for a while. I am a full-time, engineering PhD student. I am relatively new to Forex. The prospect of using day trading as a means of achieving freedom (financial and otherwise) caught my interest. At the moment I am back-testing strategies to prepare for managing a demo account. I have tested several through EAs that I coded, and I am performing manual back-testing for some discretionary strategies. My name is Andy Morris, and I’m an long-term stock investor looking to add forex as another income stream. Although I’m tempted to start trading right away, after going through the Baby Pips training I realize I have a big (but potentially rewarding) learning curve ahead.
I’ve decided to spend the first few months working up to an intermediate skill level in understanding price action with candlestick charts. At the same time, I’m setting up a basic trading system at home with a 32" monitor and an small, dedicated Windows PC (I’m usually a Mac user). I’m also picking up tips on using MT4.
Any help is welcome!

I started learning about forex a couple of years ago after flailing around ineffectually in the cryptocurrency market for a while. After dabbling in trading with a small account for a couple of years, I’ve finally accepted that I should not be trading with real money yet, so I’ve started working my way through the School of Pipsology, which is where I should have started in the first place!
