My name is Michelle Steele. I am from Pittsburgh PA but currently reside in Phoenix Arizona. Iāve been living here for four years now and love the weather and location. My sister introduce the idea of trading Forex which I immediately thought was a great opportunity. After researching, the industry itself was a 6.2 trillion dollar market; I was sold (just being honest.) 
ā¦my first thought was, I will need to understand every moving piece because āthe marketā is a business first and no one is going to allow you to enter there territory āvoluntarilyā so I knew it was going to be a journey and not a sprint. I decided to study and really try to understand the business model of the market and where I would fit into that space. I even decided to read (The Market Wizards), (Trading in the Zone) just to get others peoples experience in the market.
My next phase is to set up my demo account on begin to study price action. After choosing my demo account, I will need to learn the platform and be comfortable using it. I still need to decide on my 2 major pairs, study their behaviors and proceed from there. I am planning on giving this process 3 to 5 months. I will admit that I have to stop stalling and take some of the information learnt and apply.
This is my journey so far in the Forex Market place.
I will say with the research that I have been engaging in this far has been the best information ever. I love how we all have to working towards the same common goal which is time freedom but of coarse it will come at a cost 
!!
I joined this community because a very kind person referred me to do so. I am learning the benefits of the economic calendar. I am glad I joined this community and be in the space with like minded people!

Iām a tax auditor. I successfully buy and trade stocks. Iāve always been curious about Forex, but did not know where to turn for education. Too many online scammers.
Here is my experience with Forex, Iāve read Forex Trading by Jim Brown, watched a-lot of YouTube videos, begin reading Jim Brownās second book, MT4 and MT5 Trading Viewā¦, but felt overwhelmed. I paused for a few months and here I am again, I ran across this website online just researching. I created an account to begin but Iām not ready. I feel nervous about Forex, I heard it can be challenging, however, Iām planning on being successful. I look forward to learning and trading ideas, and I wish everyone a successful journey!

Got into securities a little bit like many others did during the pandemic. Decided to put some money in during the downturn because I kicked myself for not doing so during the 2008 sell off. But that also led me to reading about ForEx.
Iām very curious about ForEx and how it may focus me on being more aware of global news in order to understand the flow of currency. Not looking to win big in this or other areas, but hoping that I can learn enough to offset the indoor skydiving training that my two boys go through. If you havenāt tried indoor skydiving, itās a lot of fun and I highly recommend it. Feel free to message me any questions about it.
Back to ForEx though. I do software for a living so Iām also keen on automating some aspect of it. Iām unlikely to use software to make the trades, but instead focus on the charting and analysis to help me determine when to get in and out, in addition to keeping up with relevant news. Iām not going to be a day trader as I like the idea of swing trading to hold positions for days or weeks potentially.
I hope to learn a lot and hope I can help others.
