Evening Gents (& the rare female of the species on here),
I had the joy that is a quiet period at work & used it to browse some FX related stuff on company time & I read through a PDF by Jonas Blickle (PhanTi in ForexFactory) about supply/demand.
I’m not wanting to talk through the actual content of the PDF but something that jumped out at me was one of the indicators that he used & I’m hoping that someone can point me in the right direction.
In the top left of his MT4 window, he has a wee bit that tells him the spread, ATR, that specific days range & a few other things. Attached is a photo.
I quickly scanned through his FF thread & there was no mention of it & on the off chance, I emailed him in the hope of a reply (nothing yet). Does anyone know of this indicator or a similar one as I quite like the idea of it?
Another one in the same PDF that I liked an element of was one that appears to be called FX5_MACD_Divergence_v1.1 & the element of this that I liked was actually nothing to do with the MACD, it was that in the far right of the indicator window, it had the current time for Tokyo & NY (photo included). Although this is easy enough to calculate, it’s handy having this at a glance. Is there an indicator (if it could be called that) that would just slap that info in the bottom of your main chart window without any actual indicator.
Forgive any ignorance on this one, I’ve used my standard basic MT4 indicators & haven’t delved in to the world that is Customised Indicators.
If you have any other suggestions for other indicators that are worth a peek at, please feel free to share & thank you if you do. Anything that makes life easier &/or my trading better is always appreciated.
