Young Millionaire Buys His First Private Jet at 24

Sorry if I’ve already talked about this story before.

Eric Thomas’s wife has multiple sclerosis.

Her MS gets worse when there’s stress. His wife works as a nurse, so there’s stress everyday at her job. She loved it, but it’s terrible for her.

Eric wanted to remove her from stressful environments. He asked her how much she planned to earn as a nurse until her retirement.

He upped his game, worked hard, saved his money, and gave his wife the sum total of what she would’ve earned as a nurse. He retired her, and she’s feeling much better.

Most people with MS are nowhere near as fortunate as her.

I learned a good lesson from this:

When you are at your best, you can improve the lives of those around you. When you’re below your potential, people around you suffer.

After consistent profits…

Anything planned for your birthday next week?

Kinda. For the first time ever, I scheduled off an entire week from work. Money’s tight, so I’m just gonna treat myself to dinner from the Ethiopian food truck, near my house, that I like.

Hmmm. How about, instead, we just go to Ethiopia? My treat.

Say what?!

The guy Alejandro said you can save so much time flying a private jet, and once you get a taste of the convenience, you won’t wanna stop.

I must admit—that’s prety cool.

@SmallPaul

Which parts of the US would you travel to with one of these?

I like that you said 30 days.

Each state is huge and filled with tons of small towns, attractions, and nature.

There are camp grounds, hiking trails, fairs, workshops, restaurants, and local businesses that are unique to each town, city, and state. The people and their accents are different, too.

There’s so much to explore in each state.

What an adventure!

Arkansas didn’t make your list, but ,as an example, I didn’t think there was anything there.

It turned out that there’s an area filled with spas and hot springs. I would’ve never guessed!

You never know what you’ll find.

I wonder what Minnesota’s like…

Since you mentioned this and the more I reflect on it, between driving and visiting all the attractions in each state, it could take as much as a year in every state. You may not live long enough to experience every state attraction, but at least you passed away happy doing what you love.

Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness

Superior National Forest

Voyageurs National Park

Croix National Scenic Riverway

Mississippi National River & Recreation Area

Three Rivers Wine Trail

Minneapolis – St. Paul

Ordway Center for the Performing Arts

Mille Lacs Indian Museum

Mall of America

Oh wow! I completely forgot that Mall of America was in Minnesota!

Shopping spree!!

And yeah, you’re right. You could easily spend a year in each state and still have more to see. There are even museums that you’ll never see every exhibit inside. You could spend all day and still miss some. The next time you go back, there’s all new exhibits.

You can’t see everything, but you can see some good stuff, then get moving on to the next adventure.

What would your travel style be like? Loosely scheduled?

Do you need to make an itinerary in advance? Or do you prefer to figure it out when you get to the state?

I think it would be cool to go on a spur of the moment trip.

I was watching a show, and one evening a guy got an alert on his phone about a flight deal to France, and the deal was only available for a few minutes.

Within just a few minutes he and his wife took the deal and went to France the next morning.

It turns out that there are alert options on flight deal websites.

Pack up your trading gear and roll out!

Minnesota is NOT what I thought.

That’s where they filmed Reservation Dogs!

As I mentioned, you can easily devote a year in each state visiting all the attractions, including the lesser-known ones.

If you include the travel to each location and staying there for a few days or weeks, it could require over 3 years

Yeah. For me, the little-known places are the gems.

Small-town folk are sometimes friendlier than big-city folk. The pace of life is slower.

Most of the US is small towns. But fun can be found wherever you go, as long as you have an open mind and a positive attitude.

It would be fun to try some of signature dishes of each city!

This could be a good way to start out instead of the popular well known atrractions.

Everyone rush to the most popular attractions which can be overcrowded and feel overly commercial; the lesser-known gems appear more intimate.

Large crowds can be annoying. My big city visits will be brief, and my small town visits lengthy.

For me, it’s nice to go somewhere that isn’t a typical tourist destination. Instead of a famous restaurant in the big city, I can equally enjoy a meal in a restaurant in a small city of less than 10,000 people.

-I’m sorry sir. I couldn’t do that. If you’re on a budget, we have several financing plans that can work for you.

-You don’t understand. I’m paying cash.

-Just a sec. Let me get my manager…
