Sorry if Iāve already talked about this story before.
Eric Thomasās wife has multiple sclerosis.
Her MS gets worse when thereās stress. His wife works as a nurse, so thereās stress everyday at her job. She loved it, but itās terrible for her.
Eric wanted to remove her from stressful environments. He asked her how much she planned to earn as a nurse until her retirement.
He upped his game, worked hard, saved his money, and gave his wife the sum total of what she wouldāve earned as a nurse. He retired her, and sheās feeling much better.
Most people with MS are nowhere near as fortunate as her.
I learned a good lesson from this:
When you are at your best, you can improve the lives of those around you. When youāre below your potential, people around you suffer.
After consistent profitsā¦
Anything planned for your birthday next week?
Kinda. For the first time ever, I scheduled off an entire week from work. Moneyās tight, so Iām just gonna treat myself to dinner from the Ethiopian food truck, near my house, that I like.
Hmmm. How about, instead, we just go to Ethiopia? My treat.
Say what?!
The guy Alejandro said you can save so much time flying a private jet, and once you get a taste of the convenience, you wonāt wanna stop.
I must admitāthatās prety cool.
Which parts of the US would you travel to with one of these?
The states I will visit and spend a minimum of 30 days driving and sightseeing.
Idaho
Iowa
Kansas
Maine
Massachusetts
Minnesota
Montana
Nebraska
Nevada
New Hampshire
New Mexico
North Carolina
North Dakota
Oklahoma
Oregon
Rhode Island
South Carolina
South Dakota
Tennessee
Utah
Vermont
Washington
Wisconsin
Wyoming
I like that you said 30 days.
Each state is huge and filled with tons of small towns, attractions, and nature.
There are camp grounds, hiking trails, fairs, workshops, restaurants, and local businesses that are unique to each town, city, and state. The people and their accents are different, too.
Thereās so much to explore in each state.
What an adventure!
Arkansas didnāt make your list, but ,as an example, I didnāt think there was anything there.
It turned out that thereās an area filled with spas and hot springs. I wouldāve never guessed!
You never know what youāll find.
I wonder what Minnesotaās likeā¦
Since you mentioned this and the more I reflect on it, between driving and visiting all the attractions in each state, it could take as much as a year in every state. You may not live long enough to experience every state attraction, but at least you passed away happy doing what you love.
Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness
Superior National Forest
Voyageurs National Park
Croix National Scenic Riverway
Mississippi National River & Recreation Area
Three Rivers Wine Trail
Minneapolis ā St. Paul
Ordway Center for the Performing Arts
Mille Lacs Indian Museum
Mall of America
Oh wow! I completely forgot that Mall of America was in Minnesota!
Shopping spree!!
And yeah, youāre right. You could easily spend a year in each state and still have more to see. There are even museums that youāll never see every exhibit inside. You could spend all day and still miss some. The next time you go back, thereās all new exhibits.
You canāt see everything, but you can see some good stuff, then get moving on to the next adventure.
What would your travel style be like? Loosely scheduled?
Do you need to make an itinerary in advance? Or do you prefer to figure it out when you get to the state?
I think it would be cool to go on a spur of the moment trip.
I was watching a show, and one evening a guy got an alert on his phone about a flight deal to France, and the deal was only available for a few minutes.
Within just a few minutes he and his wife took the deal and went to France the next morning.
It turns out that there are alert options on flight deal websites.

The wine trail looks fun!
As I mentioned, you can easily devote a year in each state visiting all the attractions, including the lesser-known ones.
If you include the travel to each location and staying there for a few days or weeks, it could require over 3 years
Yeah. For me, the little-known places are the gems.
Small-town folk are sometimes friendlier than big-city folk. The pace of life is slower.
Most of the US is small towns. But fun can be found wherever you go, as long as you have an open mind and a positive attitude.
It would be fun to try some of signature dishes of each city!
This could be a good way to start out instead of the popular well known atrractions.
Everyone rush to the most popular attractions which can be overcrowded and feel overly commercial; the lesser-known gems appear more intimate.
Large crowds can be annoying. My big city visits will be brief, and my small town visits lengthy.
For me, itās nice to go somewhere that isnāt a typical tourist destination. Instead of a famous restaurant in the big city, I can equally enjoy a meal in a restaurant in a small city of less than 10,000 people.
True power begins the moment you stop outsourcing your peace.
-I like this living room set. The price tag says $5,200. Do you think you could give it to me for $4,800?
-Iām sorry sir. I couldnāt do that. If youāre on a budget, we have several financing plans that can work for you.
-You donāt understand. Iām paying cash.
-Just a sec. Let me get my managerā¦
