The awesome thing about trading is that the effort is always the same.
In a conventional business, in order to grow, your business model has to change, you need more employees, you have to work more hours etc.
But with trading, when you have a small account and 10% profit is just $50, if you can get a larger account (loan, compound trading, prop firm) you can get the same 10% profit with the same exact effort.
Your work doesn’t change—only the account size. You just have to keep doing what you were doing when you were getting $50 profit, and you can get $5,000 profit.

A lot of people on this site talk about strategies and what works vs what doesn’t work. If what you do works for you, ignore everyone else. It’s your journey; not theirs.

People would have have to figure it out. I’d try to keep a low profile the best I could.

It’s funny.
If you tell people you got a job at an investment bank or a hedge fund, and that you’re making good money, they’d be happy for you.
But if you say you’re trading independently, they’ll say “you could lose all your money”, or “but isn’t that risky?”
That shows you what they of you. The reason they’re worried or have doubts is because they don’t think you can do it.
However, I’m sure I’ve had similar reactions in the past. Perhaps it’s a natural reaction when someone tells you something surprising.
I guess we shouldn’t take everything so personal.
