I am currently working on creating an Inside Bar Expert Adviser. In historical back testing over approx 8 years the system has delivered a profit on USD/JPY, EUR/USD, and EUR/JPY. It has broken even on several other pairs. Is this normal for an Expert Adviser to only work on a few pairs?
Hi Mike… the spread of certain pairs will affect the profitability of an EA. The pairs you profited on are all low spread pairs. The price action / flow will have some bearing on performance but to a lesser degree than the spread.
