I think it depends, Im seeing 2 scenarios… 1 we wil have a massive shift from risk on to risk off(dvs, USD should rise on all pairs)

Or

Since americans are probably the most superstitious people and would sell all their assets, we could see a massive fall of USD on all pairs…

Interesting question, but I do hope the world will end before I have mastered forex :stuck_out_tongue:

If it is the end of the world why would you want to make money?? spend it all, days before… :smiley:

If us superstitious Americans sell our assets then the USD will rise. Since we will sell off our stocks for cash (risk on) the demand for USD will go up and so will the value of USD.

Be careful though as there are 2 other scenarios

  1. people realize the world is not going to end and this could create a risk on environment thus causing the USD to drop.
  2. People dont care and realize not matter what happens you cant take your money with you and nothing happens at all.

I think for me I will just make some popcorn and watch the maddness unfold

Ummm…If the world ends as we know it (putting aside the end of all life on the planet) do you think any fiat money is going to have any value? Exchange rates will be meaningless.

Well if the world ends and its some kind of wasteland/ post apocalyptic environment. Food water and bullets are going to be worth more than 1billion USD.

Contrary to some expectations, the market’s not going to collapse and on that note, no planet Nibru is going to come calling on 21/12 or 12/21 - depending on which part of the world you live in…

The first sign will be total comms breakdown no data transfer most of my “money” is equated in bytes now, end of the world? Knowledge is the only asset, costs nowt and weighs the same, but 'ell, it takes a long time to earn… A second to forget. But just say the us sells all there assests would’nt it push the usd I.inflation up devaluing the usd?? 101 economics please… :slight_smile:

I’m buying up Mayan land, Mayan gold, and Mayan archeological treasures for 10¢ on the dollar.

My Mayan clients are taking the cash from these sales to their local cantina,

where they’re buying tequila by the truckload.

For the next 3½ weeks, they will be drunk out of their minds,

as they await the Age of Aquarius (or whatever they call it).

Next year, all those Mayan treasures will come back on the market at full price.
