IMO a good pair for newbies is EURUSD.

Quite well so far, as in I’ve being gaining more for the past week with my USD/JPY pair. Feeling like I’m getting more comfortable with it’s trend and ready to get familiar with another. I’m demo trading on Metatrader 5 and Oanda demo. My goal is to get aquatinted with about 3 different pairs and go live with them :).
What about you? Are you new to trading? How long have you been in the industry?

Hi thank you. I’ll attempt to eventually. I found it difficult to keep track of more than one pair at a time, after watching the charts for a few, I found that the USD/JPY was more understandable from what I was learning so I went with it. But I’ll definitely make it a goal to get familiar with the majors.
That’s good that it’s going well so far! When do you think your going to start live trading? I’ve been live trading a while now and slowly increasing my profit! So happy I got in to trading, was so tricky to learn at the beginning but once it clicked it seemed much easier!

As long as I have those 2 or 3 pair and I’m confident in trading I will go live. I’ve been practicing with USD/JPY for 2 months now, I’ll give the next pair another two months (while attending pipsology).
I also use the gauge and commentary on the trading view website to help me to decide whether I should long or short trade my pair.
