I am using MT4 and noticed that it only shows one trend line on the MACD. After reading around i found that it is possible to download a different version of the MACD indicator that shows both trend lines. I downloaded the new MACD indicator from this site ( How To Set Up The MACD Indicator in MT4 - Tutorial | tradimo ) and here is a comparison of the two indicators (Bottom two indicators on diagram).
My question really is why are the histogram sizes different between the two MACD indicators. I had a look at the properties for both but cant find any other options other than changing the values to 12,26 and 9 (Both are set to 12,26,9).
What is causing this difference and does it matter?
For example, the MT4 version (The second MACD) shows the values on the histogram as being below the MACD’s horizontal line whereas the other MACD is showing it as being above the horizontal line (See the beginning of the histogram) - One of these is definitely wrong.
