Skepticism

All this stuff does not affect me!! :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue:

I just trade!!

Thatā€™s the spirit, tymen.

Doesnā€™t matter what we trade as long as we can trade.

If it comes down to bananas we trade those too if we have toā€¦LOL!

Gold is de-coupled from the world reserve currency since 1971.

Just because we assign a number expressed in FIAT to Gold does not mean Gold is FIAT and worthless.

Gold has never lost itā€™s monetary function as silver has. Thatā€™s why global central banks hold gold reserves and the gold price is not allowed to rise otherwise everybody could see the global expansion of FIAT through QE expressed through the price of gold. People will notice when the price of gold hit $2000/oz and more.

The price of gold getā€™s determined by the formulaā€¦all USD paper in global circulation divided by FED gold holdings in storage.

That brings the real price of gold to +$12ā€™000/oz.

FIAT currencies are in existence since 1971. Thatā€™s about 38 years.

If the current reflation bet of global central banks doesnā€™t work out and confidence is lost in FIAT currencies you will see changes you never imagined in a very short time.

But I guess that if you hold that belief of yours, some gold-digging nations currencies might not be a bad buy huh

Thatā€™s why I trade the CADā€¦

Gold is de-coupled from the world reserve currency since 1971.

The total amount of gold that has ever been mined has been estimated at around 142,000 tonnes. Assuming a gold price of US$1,000 per ounce, or $32,500 per kilogram, the total value of all the gold ever mined would be around $4.5 trillion.

Hmm, not quite enoughā€¦

Donā€™t forget that before the US dropped the gold standard, they also set the price of gold.

In addition your forgetting the liquid goldā€¦ OIL which could only be bought in US dollars and is why the USD is the world base currencyā€¦

Two countries began to sel oil in euros and what happened to them???

Off topic but interesting anyway

Cheers
