Hey Robert, do the EAs all use the same Magic Number by default, or is it a number that get’s assigned during the installation process? I just noticed that on my three accounts (1 live, 2 demo) the BH and the MS Magic Numbers are all the same…
Also, with regards to Holidays in different markets, are they taken into consideration with the News feed, or is it something that we don’t need to worry about? Thanks!
Hello S1L1K0N,
The Magic Numbers of all Master Scalper pairs are the same by default, so we can track them as a group, like in myfxbook.
You can change them if you prefer, from the Inputs tab.
BH has a different number.
All accounts use the same numbers coded in the EA, unless you choose to change them.
The Holidays in the different markets are not considered No Trade days. The fact that they are listed in the News filter will not stop the trading , unless they are entered individually by date in the “date” filter. Only a few major “holidays” are blocked out.
Is that a double top on the chart? LOL Lets hope not!
Any of my accounts started after the new year are still in the red, however, the combo it is indeed slowly recovering. I say slowly because I am still running it @ 50% capacity therefore my charts do not yet show that nice double top!
Given that it seems the markets have gone back to be “combo friendly” I am going to increase back to 100% on some accounts and lets hope that the performance continues!
February chart of BH & MS running @ 50% lot_percent on a live account
I’m up aproximately 1% for the month and my brand new PAMM account is up 6.52%
I’m not at all concerned about performance. Overall these ea’s are doing well. I realize January sucked but February things are getting back into profit. I thin to much tweaking might hurt these ea’s
TradingShed,
You are tracking my real account “MBT Free EXN Live” on myfxbook. It is both EA’s (no other trading) with out of the box settings started from the beginning of the year.
The myfxbook link I provided in my previous post is also a real money account. Not one trade on that account was made by me, and the only EAs running are the SmartFX ones…
You’re definatily a believer, like i am , i am also testing smart ea’s for 8 months now and i will go live very soon, the show steady grow without that much risk, they 've a good moneymanagement that’s crucial for me,
in feb w’re on the move up again , kindly regards ,Vallon
You got in at a great time and didn’t experience the January drawdown that we all experienced. I’m quite impressed especially since I think you said you were running the EA’s from home and not on a remote VPS. Is that true? I think you found the right combination!
Yeah, all my MT4 clients are being run on a ‘home’ PC with a 15Mbps down/1Mbps up cable Internet connection. My PC, cable modem and router are on a UPS. It doesn’t hurt that I work for the ISP
I’m sure there will be periods of drawdown again, but I’m hoping there’s enough of a buffer by then in the account to weather the storm (not bite into the initial investment). One of the things I am most impressed with regarding these EAs is there money management, and the fact they work ‘out of the box’. I don’t have the time to trade manually when the major markets are open; I’m either sleeping or at work, or at work sleeping…
Agreed that Feb has been a better month. Currently I am +3.83% for the week, +6.98% for the month and +1.71% for the year (Default settings).
I am also trying another account with the Smart FX combo EA and MC2 EA which is doing pretty well.
Just to add to the positive side, I ordered the EA’s during the X-mas close-down, and started trading the 9th of January. I saw +/- 10% DD, but today I’am up 15% on my original balance, so I just opened a new account for the combo and let it run.
It’s a Alpari account, it proved to me to be better than the FXCM that was at -20% at some stage.
