I’ve been practicing with Oanda for abit now, and I was wondering if there are any difference with the live account. Such as, larger range of tools, etc. Im also wondering whether there are any differences in opening a live account with Oanda’s Singapore, US, and Europe branches.
I can’t speak to the non-US account question, but as for the difference between live and demo trading you will find it to be nearly zero, with one potential exception. They beta test new features in the demo platform, so at times you may see something in demo that hasn’t yet been launched on the live platform yet.
How about trading weekly and monthly charts on Oanda, how do you find that?
They only go up to daily at this point.
Yes, great broker, they get better and better, had a few little issues a couple of years ago, but ever since they take it down for maintenance late on Friday, no problems whatsoever, so whatever they do then, must work!
Further than Daily charts, I can’t see any reason to use longer timeframes other than for historical reference.
I can, but I just use alternate sources for weekly, etc. charts. They don’t need to be as precise in terms of broker prices than the short-term ones do.
I use Oanda, but I use IBFX demo metatrader or sometimes FXCM tradestation for charting. With those you can see longer time frames. I will trade weekly and even monthly sometimes.
im trying to get a graph of volume traded, but can’t find it anywhere. I’ve seen some Oanda graphs posted in the forums with this graph. Where can I find this graph?
Exactly my point.
Lol. Historical reference?
You must be kidding.
I wasn’t But what I can’t possibly see working for you, might be exactly the same for you, you might not possibly see why on earth my stuff works for me.
I think it emphasises the point that your system, outlook, strategy, risk appetite and all the rest of it can be quite a personal thing.
True, but at the very least, it’s beneficial to know the key S/R on longer timeframes.
