When on a broker, the spread, is that taken into account when you buy, or sell. Like say you buy a spread of 2 pips, but when you decide to sell it, the current spread is 3 pips. So does the broker charge you the 2 pips upon purchase, or 3 pips upon selling?
It’s included when you buy or sell. When you buy, you start off -2 pips or whatever the spread is.
You have a bid and ask price in your platform. When you enter a trade using the bid price you will close it with the ask price and the other way around. The spread is already part of that.
You don’t buy spreads. You buy an instrument that is quoted as Bid/Ask price which the difference is the spread. Now the spreads varies, which is probably why it increased when you wanted to sell. At a particular time, the spread can be 0.2, and the next time it can be 0.3. In other cases, a broker may increase the spread as fee for trading.
