While the swing trading principles definition are quite the same, I wonder why these different approaches. Would it be the…
Hi everyone,
When swing trading, has anyone looked at different timeframes to determine where the market might be going to establish a position? What I have been doing in my demo account is to look at a 1 hour chart to determine what the trend is, and then I look at a smaller timeframe (5 min) to enter a position.
I would appreciate anyones insights and suggestions.

Hey everybody, glad to make my first post in this comunity. So … im reading baby pips school, plus IP course and demo trading, i have been in the FOREX for almost 2 months now and currently demo trading. But something that is not very clear is … when youre into swing trading, all your analysis is base on the 1D chart? I read that you can use the 4H as a type of confirmation, but the main analysis is done on the 1D right? Thanks guys
Hope this helps.

For beginners D1 and H4 is the best. Lower time frame is very much volatile. Yes you will get the result quick. But for trading psychology plays the important role. Higher time frame helps more to build a good trading psychology. In lower time frame you tend to do over analysis and overtrade which are bad for trading.
