The Introduction

Hi Guys and Girls,

I’m just looking for a community to bounce my trading ideas off of and gain some knowledge, I’ve been trading live for about a month now never had more than $100 in my account, before than I was playing around with a demo account and seemed to have made some profits.

My goal as a trader is to be a profitable trader and consistently make money, I know I have a long way to go and many ups and downs to go through.

My underlying goal with this is to trade for spending money and eventually leave the working world and do this full time so I can have more time on my hands to do fun things like spend time with my family, nature and focus on making the world a better place.

Any hint and tips would be greatly appreciated.

Nice to meet you and congrats on your decision to get into trading. I’ll be keeping an eye out for some of your ideas and hope to see you around on the forum. Good luck! :four_leaf_clover:

Right now, I have a 1-3 Risk to reward ratio risking on 2% of my account.

I’m still getting better with strategy but right now I trade with support and resistance looking for reversal signs and area of interest. Also use the RSI as confirmation.

I hope so to would like to absorb as much as I can and just get better

Hi, Welcome to babypips. I see that you have been facing problems since you started live trading. The problem is that demo trading and live trading are two different things. When you trade live, you are more emotionally involved. Try to trade live with the minimum risk possible and backtest your strategies. Maybe, that will help.

Hi, welcome to babypips. It’s obvious to not gain as much on a live account as you were making on a demo account. It happens with everyone. The thing is there’s no slippage or delays while placing orders on a demo account so everything works as you have planned but in the real market, it doesn’t happen. Initially try to keep your risks lower and practice with small lot sizes. It will help you.

Hi! Initially, this happens to every new trader who switched from demo to live trading. Make a trading plan and have some trading rules and then trade. Please make sure you don’t place big trades. Trade with the lot size that you are comfortable to trade.

Hi and welcome. How have you got on since going live? Did you find your demo profits stalled or continued?

The main thing is journaling your live trades if your matching your success in live conditions it’s just a matter of scaling up my friend
