THE JOY OF CANDLESTICK TRADING - Part 2 now about a week away

I will be starting my new thread in about a week’s time.

Work is being prepared beforehand.

But right now I am anxiously keeping up with the terrrible news of the worst disaster in Australia’s history - the Victorian bush fires.

The death toll expected to reach 300.

Whole families have gone missing and the devastation has been likened to the equivalent of 500 atomic bombs.

With respect for our country, Australia, I post the following picture of the devastation - one of hundreds of the many towns that were erased from the face of the earth.

I’ve been following this terrible tragedy for about a week now. Hopefully the fires are a little more under control now. Our prayers are with those who are still struggling and those who have lost loved ones.

Ive been following it as well. I dont know what to say other then its horrendous! I hope no one you know is in that situation! Look forward to seeing you soon.

I live across the globe in Sweden (Northern Europe). I’d like to share my sympathies and mention that the distaster is certainly making headlines up here as well.

It must be quite awful when it has not even been possible to save larger villages and small cities. In the past I can’t seem to recall that this has occurred.

The truly awful part is that apparently some fires are being started by arsonists.

Let’s hope that cooler and less windy weather will allow for some relief.

On a different note, nice to see that the subject of candlesticks will be continued.

we can smell smoke in the city here, and the closest fire would be about 70kms from here. The fires are still burning about 24 seperate fires, most of the damage has already been done, but the weather is going to get hot and windy again next week.
The day it got to 46+ 48 in areas, last saturday and night was unbelievable. The week before we had three days in a row of 44 degrees celcius, but that extra two to three degrees was unbearable with the wind at 30 to 40 knots. You just couldnt go outside. You open the door it was like opening the door to the oven. you think 26 is hot and then 36 is bloody hot and well 46 is hell… if it is 26 you can feel it hotter when it gets to 28, well when it is 44 you can live a bit but 46 is beyond human
But even now friday night on i am inside my house and i can smell smoke quiet strongly, the smoke is everywhere. 2000 houses have been burnt to the ground. too many people died horrendous deaths

What a terrible disaster!. I really hope all this to end soon and with the less damage possible. Hope everyone to be ok back there.

Greetings
