Hi everyone here at babypips, I would like to introduce myself first by saying that I decided to get a mentor before entering this new career (I dont know if i’m aloud to mention him or not so I am not going to until I know whats what).
I have been trading since last xmas on demo and only recently gone live in the last few months and have been doing well.
The reason that I have chosen to post here at babypips is that my mentor wanted me to experience trading in another community where I am not under his immediate protection, basically think for myself (although I will probably pass a few questions to him).
Even though I am still a member of his trading community and feel safe there I must admit I am a little nervous about posting here even though I have been told by the community that babypips is an excellent place to be.
So enough nervous chit chat here are my trades for the night so far.
PS I’m an intra day trader and have not yet let a trade go over night.
All my trades are in GMT.
The pair I traded tonight was GBP/USD
Trade 1
Entry 1.45207 @ 0910hrs Long
Exit 1.45518 @ 0926hrs
Profit 31.8 pips Total 31.8 pips
Trade 2
Entry 1.45192 @ 1045hrs Long
Exit 1.46011 @ 1210hrs
Profit 81.9 pips Total 113.7 pips
Being this trading night I traded a mini account that is $113.30 USD which when converted to AUD it was $176.47
I traded Long as the indicators that I am trained to use indicated long at the time of these trades.
Since it is nearly midnight here I’m off to bed after having a good nights work after cricket training.

whats up man down under? Im glad your here. Don’t be nervous relax this is a great place to be alot of kind folks here to answer questions and maybe you can answer questions too. This is agreat place to learn and grow as a trader so I want to encourage you to post around and if you have any questions don’t be afraid to ask.
btw Im certain it isn’t easy posting your trades I wish you the best of luck and don’t feel pressure we’re all laid back here.

How does it feel trading live? I trade demo while taking training and some orders don�t become good but I�m still trying
What I like is EA but I just read about basics maybe you like them also
I just had the same question, is it true that demo trading is while different thing than live trading? I know that the fact that working with real money is a huge difference, but I mean are there other things that we get only from live trading?
I�ve heard that a couple of times and was trying to find that out with Tradeview but I haven�t received a reply yet. If someone knows about please let me know.

Being a country boy who moved to the city I am pretty laid back but as I am posting my live trades I am still nervous as I don�t know what the standard is here, but I�m sure I�ll catch up.

Going live was nerve racking I still breakout in a sweat sometimes but I�m loving it. The biggest thing that helped was that I wasn�t aloud to go live until I was averaging over 80% positive trades on demo and now that I have to get my average above 80% in my live account before I get the go ahead to start compounding. My mentor is big on discipline.

Hi Reggie59,
Demo trading is very different to live trading, demo your emotions don�t come into play as much compared to live trading. One of the things I did was when demo trading I focused on the trading plan and concentrated on the pips but when I first went to live I started focusing on the money which made my results take a nose dive, then after coaching got my focus back on the system and my results went back in the right direction.

Firstly I’ll would like to say sorry for not being on line last night but a friend of mine was using my computer and gave my computer a virus in which I ended up reformatting tonight after many hours of frustration.
As a result I missed the London open (missed some nice pips there, darn it), but manage to get a trade off later.

If I had been more alert I could have made more as at one stage I was up 49.9 pips but found myself getting attached to making 50 pips.
I think I was distracted with the computer and did not clear myself before trading.
Will be back trading on Friday night, going to training on Thursday so it depends how I pull up to trade Thursday.

I don’t know where your from but I do know he trades online (skype) with a few students (London and I think with a couple in the States).
Also I heard a rumor that has been going around that he has been approached by 2 trading platforms in the States to set up a teaching arm over there.
So it cant hurt to ask, if he cant help I’m sure he would point you in the right direction.

Not a bad nights work considering I was not going to trade tonight because of training for cricket, I have notice after phyical exercise I tend to trade in a more relaxed state even though I feel exhausted and sore.

As I was starting to log off I realised that I didn’t follow the system 100% on the exit, I should have exited on the fifteen mintue chart as I was over 20 pips infront instead I exited on the smaller time frame charts.
Sugar I just realised I’m making myself wrong for not folloing the system completely.
Structure will be to have a conversation with my coach and have my trading plan infront of me when I’m trading, so even though I made 62.6 pips on that trade it doesn’t count as I lost focus.
