This Week's Question: What Have You Recently Done to Help Improve Your Trading Skills?

excellent question and I strongly believe every trader must ask it himself every week if not the day.
Personally I’ve finished reading “One Good Trade” and worked on rethinking my appraoch to the markets. Focusing, focusing on one thing, doing that one thing I’ve focused on - this is the plan for now.

In the last two weeks I finally decided and managed to reduce my fx pairs to only EU, GU, UC, UJ, GJ, GC, and EG, I also included WTI and Brent. Still undecided about gold n silver. I have always believed trading few pairs is a good idea and intend to concentrate on these pairs as most of correlated for example EU n UC, EG n GC
This week for example I had only a buy trade on EG and a sell on GC that have moved very well n will be continuing with them next week as they are still open for the weekend.
I have studied these pairs n found most times they move the same or opposite of each other n when I enter a buy on one then I place a sell on the other making it easy for me to monitor. I hope am able to follow my plan this time round n I strongly believe it will make me a successful trader if only I can follow through with my plans

I have found this awesome free website that helps expand my knowledge in forex market

This week I have started studying technical analysis and chart patterns. :slightly_smiling_face: :slightly_smiling_face:

true though. well i think all u need to learn about fx is already in the school of pipsology

i have actually learnt about the price levels and how to determine them to get a particular price action. which would now determine whether to buy or sell.
thank you…

well most currency pairs that tend to move together are actually the minor currencies( actually they are the exotics) so trading with such currencies wont pretty give you much opportunities as the way the major currencies would e.g EUR/USD, GBP/USD and so on

I have been reading a lot these days. I am going through different forums to get the ideas from different people. I also read views of different big time traders about the markets, what they did in their trading journey and how they are applying their knowledge etc. This is helping me a lot.

I adjusted my watchlist n even reduced it further, I now have EURUSD, GBPUSD, USDCHF, USDJPY, EURGBP XAUUSD , XAGUSD WTI n Brent. Hope to stick with these now. Also building a confidence to always believe in my analysis, whenever I spot an opportunity I take it without hesitation
