Newbie here. I have been demo trading for a few days now. I live in New Zealand. just wondering as to what would be the best market to trade while living in this country. We are 12 hours ahead of GMT and 18 hours of NYC. so miss most of the action during night time or early hours of the day. Can anyone help me with that. thanx in advance.
Hello, I live in that time zone as well, and I usually trade after London is open, up until New York opens up, so if I have entered a trade I usually go to sleep and let it run for the NY session. Happy Trading:)

Actually, you are 16 hours ahead of New York, during northern hemisphere summer.
New York is currently on Daylight Saving Time. So our time zone here is EDT, which is GMT-4.
After November 7, New Zealand will be on Daylight Saving Time, GMT+13. And New York will be on Standard Time, GMT-5.
Then, once again, you will be 18 hours ahead of New York (for 5 months, or so, until March 2011).
The two most active markets to trade Forext are the Euro and UK, NY is good but not as active as those two markets.
Those two markets are about 7 and 8 hours ahead of you. I cna’t post the link to the clock here since I don’t have 50 post, but you can go to google and type “forex clock forex 4 noobs” without the quotes. The first link should be the clock that tells you when the zones are open and how long before they close.
GFT–I have been with them for over a year and no problems, they are global with an office in Sydney and their software platform “Dealbook 360” is VERY GOOD!
