Some of you may remember my first post asking for advice here a few months back. I’ve been demo-trading since with the Forex.com platform and am ready to go live with a $1000 account (an amount I can afford to lose for a startand still sleep well at night). The problem is, I really don’t know if I should go with Forex.com or not.
I’ve read posts around the internet and also around here that they’re “thieves” or a “bad company”, but then again, you read that about Microsoft and others as well. The problem is that only angry customers will voice their opinions, the happy ones rarely do. So are there any traders who have positive experiences with Forex.com? While I can afford to lose $1000 I don’t really want to go with a company that will hold my money hostage or something.
I’m also open to suggestions for other companies. I’ve heard Oanda.com is good?
By now, you may already be somewhere doing FOREX quite comfortably.
I am sorry no one has replied to your question. The reason could be you have placed your questions in the NEWBIE ISLAND rather than in a more experienced thread.:eek:
I made the same mistake and I realized that as soon as I posted my own question.
The conclusion is, if you want to see what the NEWBIES are doing, read their messages.
If you want advice, ask the experienced folks.
Well that is one tricky question you have, personally I’ve worked with them but as you said, I’ve also seen some really bad comments about it. I work with tradeview, haven’t open yet a live account but I know of people who has and no one has ever complain about it. The wisest thing to do, as I see, is to enter the NFA website and ask for their recommendation, or just visit the broker section on this site and enter each broker and make your questions directly to them. My advise is FXDD or Alpari. I have a Forex.com live account and it’s okay but I dont like there pip spread and I get REQUOTED all the time. Sometimes I think there is a guy on the other end that just sits there and trades against me all day. Try looking for a broker that doesnt use a dealer desk, your trades will get executed faster.

I’ve been doing my research again and found that a lot of people have good things to say about FXCM and InterBank FX, so I’m back to demo’ing those 2 softwares and see which fits me better
I’m using a forex.com demo account right now, I like the layout & trade modification is seemless compared to other platforms. I too don’t like the lag time in trade executions though. I also get requoted alot too, which I have not noticed too much with other brokers that I have demo accounts with. I really like the setup, & when I go live I will probably not use them because of the other inconsistancies, I just need to find the “right” one, so far I have not found that it! Best of luck to you.
