IMO, this is what you missed: On 8/13 price spiked up and took out stops resting above the previous highs. Therefore, the market has no incentive to go any higher. If it had not taken out the stops then your buy might have been a good buy, depending upon where price came from (further left) which I’m unable to see given your screen shot. I don’t trade the GBP so I don’t have charts for it in my workstation. Just my 2 cents.
