Hi guys,

I’m looking at going back into trading real money tonight and I’d just like to know how many trades you’d recommend to someone trading a $100 account at .02 lot?

Sorry what?? Assuming you are a newbie, would suggest that you review risk management and as to the query, it depends on your strategy, time frame you trade in, etc. I would suggest that you open just one order and build up slowly, since that minimizes your risk to an extent, and as you are trading with a one hundred usd acc, you really do not have much room to trade aggressively…

I see you have a sober view on how you can trade with 100$ :cool:. .02 lot is perfect size for 100$ deposit I was using 0.04 with 300$ deposit on Hotforex (leverage was 1:400) when I was a newbie, trading with bigger lots may result in quickly account blowout. 4$ bucks daily profit from 100$ I consider a good expectation (around 30 pips) and depends on the time you hold open position it may be from 3 to 10 trades daily.

$100 and .02 are a good comp for trading, but I don’t see why do you need advice on the number of trades ?

If your intention is to improve your strategy than you should trade minimum lot size and have a lot of trades as much is possible but in a long period of time, so that way you can see if your new strategy is working or not.

Like most of these forum folks mentioned, it depends on what time frame you’re using, how long you usually hold on to your trades, and your risk preferences. Care to share a bit about your current strategy?

based on what i read and concerning the reports , the most beneficial pairs or currencies are EUR and USD , plus i think that gold is profitable ??

On gold being profitable, it is the perfect time to buy with gold at a new low…
