Hi,
Would it be OK to trade FX intra-day between the hours GMT 19:00 - GMT 24:00? (14:00 - 19:00 EST?)
I am looking to try do some intra-day trading when I get in from work, I am based in the UK, is anybody else trading these hours? Is there much movement?
Any thought/suggestions welcome

swing trading isn’t so dependant on market hours. I’m UK based and put my intraday trades on before and after work
Thanks for the reply.
I am not really looking to swing trade. I already trade equities on longer time frames, have been interested in FX for a while as a side line. I was looking to trade 5 minute charts or less (yes I will demo first), using the 3 ducks or some sort of breakout strategy.
Out of interest how long do you hold positions for?
I originally planned to trade the method at the below link but paper trading results have been disastrous.
(link deleted, wouldn’t want to get into trouble but it was to Joel Rensink’s blog)

No worries. If you’re looking to day trade then the London session is the best but the London evening (NY afternoon) should have some movement.
2-5 days, sometimes over the weekends. Fits well with a 9-5 job. The irony being that I’m based in London - but can’t day trade!
You might want to edit that link into the form above;)

Oh OK…that’s weird.
A forum like this is plagued with link spammers, most forums are but beacuse of this there are some quite strict linking rules.
No probs, thanks for the heads up.
Anytime:)
Jim you by chance aren’t related to Mr. R. Ena are you?
rim shot
And I am quick enough to duck the tomatos:p
And Jim, just so you know, after 50 posts, links are allowed as long as they are pertinent to the conversation at hand.
Just a way they have to keep the massive forex bot sales forces from taking over the boards:)
